From Rock Church, IL
There was a very encouraging response at the World Missions Conference held at Rock Church, IL., where Rev John Sprecher, a schoolmate of mine and a dear friend for the last 40 years, is the Senior Pastor. The conference had 14 different ministries from various parts of the world and it was thrilling to meet some old friends for the first time after 30-40 years!Rock Church is the same church that my wife Margareta attended as a young girl and so it was very special for her as well. On Sunday, Oct’ 3rd I spoke at both of the morning services at 8am and 10.45 am and the response to my message from Isaiah 6 on the Call to Mission was very well received. Several people at both services responded to commit themselves to service in the kingdom. We felt the touch of God. God’s heart beats with compassion for the lost and these people reflected that feeling as they prayed and opened themselves to His workings and callings upon their lives.
